Darryl Daney

Darrell Daney began training in dance at the Freed School of Performing Arts in 1995. His versatile training included; jazz, tap, ballet, and hip-hop. He received strict training in ballet and modern at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in the summer months of 2007 and 2008. In May of 2016, he obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina. After graduation, he became a member of the Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company based in Washington, DC. He has performed abroad with this company in countries such as; France, Belgium, Greece, India, and Germany. He is currently a dance education specialist in Richland County School District 1, and has recently been deemed the 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year for WG Sanders Middle School.
